Hanumakonda May 15 : The students of MA I Year, Department of English, Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous) organised a Farewell Party today for the final year MA English students in the college premises.
Miss Divya of MA I Year English welcomed the dignitaries by presenting a bouquet to Prof. G. Srinivas, Principal. She then invited Prof. A. Srinath, Head, Department of English, Dr. T.S. Praveen Kumar, Associate Professor & PG Course Coordinator, and all faculty members of the Department onto the dais.
Dr. T.S. Praveen Kumar delivered a brief report on the MA English course. He advised the students to continuously enrich their knowledge in literature and wished the outgoing batch a bright and successful future.
Prof. A. Srinath, HOD, congratulated the first-year students for organising the event and advised the final-year students to gain expertise in their respective specialisations and prepare rigorously for NET and JRF examinations.
Other faculty members — Dr. P. Dinakar and Dr. B. Srinivas (Associate Professors), Dr. N. Ramesh Chandra Srikanth, Dr. G. Rajesh, Sri P. Jayakar, and Smt. B. Kiranmai (Assistant Professors) — delivered motivational messages and encouraged the students to pursue their goals with dedication and without wasting time.
In his presidential remarks, Prof. G. Srinivas, Principal, appreciated the initiative taken by the MA English students in organising the farewell for their seniors and wished them to cherish memorable moments forever. He urged the PG students to act as brand ambassadors of the reputed institution. He also highlighted the introduction of new Apprenticeship Enabled Degree Programmes (AEDP) such as BA English Literature, BA Creative and Content Writing, B.Com (Logistics), BFSI, BBA (Retail Operations), and others.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Miss Bhargavi of MA I Year, who expressed gratitude to the Principal and faculty members for their encouragement and wholehearted support in conducting Farewell Party’ and Signature Day.
